NSW: Last lights from Sydney to Albury

Motorists will soon be able to drive from North Sydney to the Victorian border without
stopping at a single set of traffic lights.

Currently freeway traffic grinds to a halt at Casula during peak hour where the M5
crosses Moorebank Avenue.

But the bottleneck's to be freed up by a new $31 million flyover.

New South Wales Roads Minister CARL SCULLY has announced the project as part of a deal
with Interlink Roads, operator of the M5 South West Motorway.

Mr SCULLY says removing the intersection and building the flyover will cut travel times,
improve road safety, and result in better local air and noise quality.
