Vic: Yallourn dispute could be over today union
Unions believe the long-running power dispute in Victoria could be solved by tonight.
If it isn't, the state Labor government could fine striking electricity workers and
their employer, Yallourn Energy, and force the union members to return to work.
The six unions involved in the dispute will put their case to Yallourn this morning.
The dispute at Yallourn's La Trobe valley power plant, east of Melbourne, has cut Melbourne's
power supplies by 20 per cent.
