One dies, others injured in New Year celebrations
One person has died after falling six storeys from a balcony in Brisbane, and a woman has
suffered serious head injuries in a similar accident early today.
The fatal fall happened near suburban New Farm at about 5.50 am (AEST) today, but it's not
yet known whether the dead person is male or female.
About one hour earlier, a woman suffered serious head and suspected spinal injuries after
falling about 10 metres from an apartment balcony at northern suburban Hamilton.
