Tae: Australians slam taekwondo judges at Games

Australian officials say the taekwondo judging at the Olympics had been substandard,
costing two of their fighters a chance at a medal.

After a gold and silver in Sydney four years ago, Australia leaves the Athens Olympics
without a medal in taekwondo, claiming the judges had given points to the wrong fighters.

High performance manager STUART LEE says the judging at the competition hasn't reflected
the matches.

Australia was only one of 10 countries to qualify the maximum four players for the
tournament, headed by Sydney silver medallist DANIEL TRENTON.

TRENTON and CARLO MASSIMINO lost their tight quarter-final contests, and CAROLINE BARTASEK
and TINA MORGAN lost their first round matches.
