QLD: University building evacuated in fire
BRISBANE, April 16 AAP - About 40 students at the University of Queensland, in Brisbane's
inner suburbs, were evacuated this afternoon when fire broke out in one of the living
quarters.
A university spokesman said the fire started around 5pm in the students' room at the Union
College building, inside the University's St Lucia campus.
He said it was quickly contained and no injuries were reported.
The cause of the blaze is not known.
